Messaging Terms
Effective June 22, 2026
1. Program description
eVotaré sends election-related text messages to voters and administrators who opt in: ballot-opening and reminder notices, results notifications, verification receipts, and one-time passcodes (multi-factor authentication). Texts are sent on behalf of the organization running your election.
2. How you opt in
We never add anyone to SMS without their own action. You provide express consent by taking an affirmative step and confirming it:
- Voters: enter your mobile number in your organization's eVotaré portal, then confirm the six-digit verification code we text to that number. Your number is enrolled only after you enter that code.
- Administrators: opt in by enabling SMS as a second factor — you enroll your phone and confirm a verification code before SMS is used.
In both cases you must tick a separate, unchecked-by-default consent checkbox before we send anything. See exactly what those screens look like in our step-by-step SMS opt-in walkthrough.
3. Message frequency
Messages are recurring; frequency varies based on your organization's election activity.
4. Cost
Message and data rates may apply. eVotaré does not charge you for these messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.
5. Opt out
Reply STOP at any time to stop all messages. You may receive a one-time confirmation, after which you will not receive further messages unless you re-enroll (for example, by replying START or opting in again through your organization's portal).
6. Help
For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@evotare.com.
7. Carriers
Messaging is supported on major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Privacy
Your mobile number and consent are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and are not shared with third parties for marketing.
9. Sender
Messages originate from eVotaré (+1 877-748-8498).
